A Brief History
The Yenda branch is the original home of Yenda Producers, with a history dating back to the early 1900s. The first bulk store was established on Mirrool Avenue in 1920, and the branch was formally opened in 1925. Following the loss of the original packing shed in a fire in 1938, a new facility was constructed in 1939, which included prune drying operations and marked a significant step in establishing Yenda as a central hub for local growers. This shed was refurbished in 1965 and remains on site today. The current main building, which houses both the retail store and head office, was officially opened in 1993.
