Yenda Producers’ team of experienced horticulturists provides specialist advice to growers across the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). Working closely with local farmers, the team supports crop production through practical guidance on plant nutrition, pest and disease management, and seasonal crop planning.
Our horticulture team is available by phone, in-branch, or on-farm, travelling directly to properties to provide hands-on support and analysis. This service is widely used by growers across the region and reflects the strong culture of knowledge-sharing within the Yenda Producers community.

Seasonal Monitoring & Crop Support
Horticultural production requires year-round monitoring and planning, with the focus shifting throughout the seasons depending on crop type and seasonal conditions.
Pest, disease and weed monitoring continues throughout the year and varies depending on the crop being grown. While most permanent plantings are most active during spring and summer, some vegetable crops are grown across both winter and summer seasons.
Typically, early spring through to late summer is the peak period for insect and disease pressure, although this can vary depending on weather conditions.
Fertiliser programs are developed and implemented throughout the year to support crop health and productivity. Yield and quality are monitored during harvest to assess performance and help refine future crop programs. Many summer-grown crops are harvested through autumn, while some horticultural crops are harvested almost year-round.

A Whole-Farm Approach
Our Livestock Production Team brings together extensive technical training, science-based qualifications and practical industry experience. This includes access to specialist ruminant nutrition expertise within the team.
We also collaborate closely with YPC agronomists to align pasture production with livestock performance, delivering integrated, whole-of-production solutions.
Through our broader livestock industry network, we can connect producers with additional expertise whenever required.
